We have made a very considered decision to focus on M&A / Private Equity, banking and capital markets law.
The three founding partners, Hans-Jochen Otto, Gabriele Fontane and Jochen Mittag, can look back on more than 20 years of joint experience. During this time, they have built a well-established team of experts in their fields that as the Frankfurt office of a larger firm has established a considerable market reputation for advising M&A / Private Equity transactions as well as banks and financial services providers. At the beginning of 2009, they jointly formed Otto Mittag Fontane.
We advise on national and international corporate transactions, mostly involving financial investors. We are particularly experienced in structuring transactions from a tax and corporate law point of view.
Our clients include private equity funds, entrepreneurs, MBO managers and family shareholders considering selling their shares.
In the banking and capital markets sector, we act for national and international credit and financial services institutions. We advise them on banking law and regulatory matters, on stock exchange and securities (prospectus) rules and on liability law.
As a truly independent firm, it is important that we are not tied into international networks or permanent associations with international law firms. Instead, if other jurisdictions are involved, we can draw upon long-standing working relationships with international firms and choose the best adviser for our clients.
