Dr. Hans-Jochen Otto

Hans-Jochen Otto has been advising clients on the legal and tax aspects of corporate transactions, in particular M&A / private equity transactions and restructurings, since 1990.
His practice focuses on the arrangement and negotiation of the contractual documentation as well as the structuring of transactions. His clients include financial investors, corporate management and family shareholders who consider disassociating from all or part of their business.

Hans-Jochen Otto is the author of numerous publications on legal and tax related topics in connection with M&A and LBO transactions.

Prior to founding OMF, he was a partner at Thümmel, Schütze & Partner in Stuttgart and Frankfurt for 21 years.

As of June 30, 2022, Hans-Jochen Otto resigned as a partner of the firm and has since been available to the firm as an advisor (of counsel) in accordance with a corresponding agreement on a case to case basis.
